Marquise Moments was born out of a love for storytelling and a passion for capturing the unique beauty of weddings.

I’m Jonathon Zapf, founder of Marquise Moments, and my journey with film started 10 years ago in a high school class that changed everything for me. I quickly fell in love with the blend of creative and technical work- how writing and performance could be brought to life through a camera lens. That combination of art and problem solving has held my attention ever since.

Two years ago, I met Aysa Streeval, my partner. As co-founder of Marquise Moments, Aysa brings not only incredible passion and vision, but a shared love for romance. Our own love story has made us both infatuated with the beauty of connection, the small gestures, the subtle glances, the joy that can live inside a single moment. It’s that feeling we chase in every wedding we film: a story that feels true to you, captured the way it deserves to be.

What makes a wedding film special isn’t just the camera work (though we’re always pushing ourselves to try new things)- it’s the dynamic between the two people in front of the lens. If we’ve built trust and you feel comfortable enough to simply be yourselves, everything else follows. The nervous excitement, the joy, the looks you give each other when no one else is watching—those are the moments we live for.

Our goal is simple: to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right perspective, so we can capture your story in the most honest and beautiful way possible.
